A DIFFERENT WAY OF USING CHIPBOARDS
In the scrapbook world there are many types of decorations, and new ones keep appearing... which we love!!!
But some of the essentials and that we believe that we all like are the Chipboard.
For those who do not know what we are talking about, in this case, chipboards are adhesive sheets of compressed rigid cardboard between 2mm and 3mm thick where shapes are made that are then die-cut and used as stickers.
In the following photo you can see those corresponding to the Willow Lane collection by Maggie Holmes.
The main idea is to use them in our work as an ornament that gives a bit of volume.
But browsing through the Crate Paper blog we found a new way of using them that we loved.
In this POST , the wonderful and creative Bea Valint shows us how she uses them.
What we are talking about is this beautiful mini album (a very mini mini!!), where the cover is a chipboard in the shape of a house. Its thickness makes it a strong and durable cover.
He started by cutting out the leaves on the inside of the mini...
And for the back cover he used decorated paper and the negative of the chipboard as a template...
The type of binding chosen has been Coptic , (if you are curious to know how to do it on YouTube you have tutorials with which you can learn).
There is a tiny and very cute mini!!, perfect to document an important day or that we want to remember.
Even as a small detail or gift for "that" someone special.
What did you think of the idea, did you like it as much as we did?
