TUTORIAL: SIGNATURE BOOK AND PHOTO ALBUM

The binding with the Cinch binding machine and the different sizes of the spirals allow us to create completely personalized albums with the capacity that we want, which is why we have chosen it to create our 2x1.

We start with the tutorial!

For the front and back cover we need: patterned paper , laminated cardboard and cardboard and your usual cut-paste materials.

We cover the covers , leaving a margin of 2.5 cm on the 4 sides of the patterned paper and cutting the corners diagonally (careful, leave a few millimeters of distance with the cardboard so that when folding it it is not too tight and it see carton)

The 4 sides are glued (top and bottom first, and then left and right) taking care with the corners. So that we have perfect corners, the ideal is to put the paper inward with the help of a folder or ruler (as it appears in the following photo).

Once everything is glued, it is the turn of the inside of the cover and back cover where we will paste the white cardboard.

For the inside we need:

- In the part of the signature book, pages of a high grammage or cardboard of 19.5 x 19.5 cm (that already depends on taste).

- in the part of the album cardboard of 19.5 x 29.5 cm. In our case we have used 10 that we divided into 5 drop-downs and 5 envelopes.

*Dropdown*

For the longest part of the cardboard we mark a fold at 19.5 cm and with an edge die -cutter we die-cut the end.

*Pocket*

As in the previous one, we mark a 19.5 cm fold in the longest part of the cardboard. We put double-sided tape on the top and bottom of the smaller side and create the pocket.

With remains of cardboard and decorated paper we can make cards to put inside the pockets and decorate.

Once we have everything, we order our album... first we have put the folios for the signatures, a patterned paper as a separator and finally we have interspersed the fold-outs with the pocket sheets.

For the binding we need the Cinch and spiral (this gold from Heidi Swapp is ideal!!)

Once bound and decorated, we couldn't like our album more!!

For the decoration we have used just enough to give all the prominence to the dedications, photos and memories.

On the cover are, the title placed with a foam alphabet in golden glitter, some enamels in the shape of an arrow and in the spiral, knotted a bit of tulle and a bow to give it a fun touch.

In the following photos are the separators that go inside and differentiate the signature part from the photo part...

And this is how the fold-out pages and pockets look... they allow us a great capacity to put photos, stick tickets or cards, keep memories... and everything you can think of!!!
