MOTHER'S DAY... Surprise gift for mom!

We have made an Exploding Box or Explosive Box that we have decorated the beautiful Domestic Bliss collection of Simple Stories .

Exploding Box or Explosive Box, is a box that when opened expands and reveals a small detail.

To give you an idea, the assembled box looks like this...

And so once you open it... where you see all the tabs that can be decorated, paste photos, write dedications, etc. and in the center the little surprise detail is placed.

Used materials:

- 1 paper 30x30 Domestic Diva

- 1 paper 30x30 Work It Girl

- 1 paper 30x30 I can't Adult

- 1 paper 30x30 Mom Rules

- 1 Bits & Pieces bag

- 1" circle die cutter

- your usual cut and paste

Three leaves will be the bottom structure of the box and one the lid, select and combine as you like.

Once you have them combined, we will do the following with the three of the structure below...

First paper , we mark at 10 and 20 cm, we cut the squares marked with the X and we are left with a cross shape, finally we fold where the dotted line is .

Second paper , we cut it to 28.5x28.5 cm, we mark at 9.5 and 19 cm, we cut the squares marked with the X and we are left with a cross shape a little smaller than the previous one, finally we fold where the dash line.

Third paper , we cut it to 27x27 cm, we mark at 9 and 10 cm, we cut the squares marked with the X and we are left with a cross shape a little smaller than the previous one, finally we fold where the dotted line is.

For the cover , we cut the paper to 15x15 cm, we marked at 2.5 and 12.5 cm, we cut the little piece marked by the mint arrows, and finally we folded where the dotted line is.

Now we proceed to assemble the structure , both from the bottom and from the top and for this we put the adhesive as it appears in the following photos.

In the first three, we put it in the square that remains in the middle of the cross.

On the lid, on the fins.

The first three are glued from largest to smallest, centering them as best you can.

The flaps are glued on the lid to the inside of the next side, as it appears in the photos.

With the remains of paper that were left over at the beginning, we can make some pockets to add notes. To do this we only have to cut paper to 9.5x5cm, we put double-sided tape on the two short sides and one long one, we use the circle punch to make a semicircle and we paste.

Now we put the lid on it and we already have our explosive box ready to start decorating and put our surprise gift in the center!!
