CRAFT CARDBOARD MAILBOX TO GIVE AWAY
Since he arrived on the web the Craft cardboard mailbox set , We couldn't wait to get to them and start decorating and customizing them.
We came up with various ideas, such as home decor, for snail mail, as "wrapping" for a gift....
But finally we decide to make a kind of "surprise box" to give away!!, and fill it with little things and details that we know the recipient of the gift will love.
The Set comes in three different sizes, and for this project we have used the medium one.
- First we painted it with Martha Stewart acrylic paint
Depending on the color you choose, you will have to give it more than one coat or not. In this case, since the yellow is not very dark, we have given it two to cover the mailbox but still show some of the craft cardboard (this depends on tastes).
TIP.- to get the paint to cover the entire surface well, you have to alternate the sense of the layers that we give it. That is, if the first layer is given horizontally, the next one will be vertical.
- We lined it inside...
... but only the lower part, using the letterbox itself as a guide to cut it out.
To decorate it some stickers from the cheerful collection of Shimelle Box of Crayons .
And some pink polka dots made with Vicky Boutin 's acrylic paint , and with the help of the rubber part of a pencil.
Now we just need to fill it with beautiful things and give it the final touches!!
We love how it turned out! What do you think?
And the best thing is that we still have two more mailboxes from the set to continue experimenting!!!
